Mechanical Insulation Apprenticeship Opportunity 

Insulcana Contracting is looking for someone from Northern Ontario (Timmins/Cochrane/Iroquois Falls/Matheson/Kapuskasing/Hearst etc) interested in joining our team and starting a career as an insulator through a 4-year apprenticeship program. This person will be willing to travel throughout Northern Ontario typically working 4 days a week, 10 hours per day and in some instances, required to work through weekends with overtime paid, on set rotations (i.e. 14 days straight, 7 days off). On the job training is provided.  

The following are requirements for the position:

-       Minimum Age: 18 years old

-       High school diploma

-       Valid driver’s license

-       Willing and able to travel

-       Canadian Resident

-       Legally allowed to work in Ontario

-       Must speak, read, and write in English (French is an asset but not required)

-       Mandatory health test due to physical constraints of the job

-       Comfortable working at heights

-       Skilled with numbers and math

-       Enjoy hands-on, physical work

-       Interest in skilled craftsmanship

-       Desire and passion to learn and progress

-       Dependable/Reliable

Bonus Assets:

-       Insulation or Construction experience

-       Courses in woodworking, metalworking, and mechanical drawing

-       Courses in Algebra and Geometry

-       Courses in Science and Physics
